Their passion is to bring stories of the past to life through innovative films, documentaries, parallaxing and animation to engage viewers with their stunning visuals and imagery.
Paul Banks: Digifish Co-Founder and Creative Director
Paul Banks is an award winning film director, producer and editor specialising in educational, documentary and commercial work. Since co-founding Digifish in 2007, Paul's role as Creative Director has seen him work internationally, directing TV and online campaigns in the US, South Africa, Asia and Australia for the likes of Sony and EA Sports. His work has been broadcasted worldwide and has been viewed over 58,000,000 on YouTube.
Paul has a strong track record of creating films and documentaries. He has worked with many people over the years from young people who have been excluded from education, young offenders in prison and domestic violence victims to survivors of the holocaust. Paul has also produced and directed TV commercials including a global TV campaign for Sony Entertainment and most recently the Richer Sounds 2015 TV commercial.
Laura Buckle: Digifish Co-Founder and Company Director
With almost 20 years' experience of various aspects of business administration and management, Laura is responsible for the commercial management of Digifish including account management, sales and marketing, operations, compliance, finance and assisting in all aspects of production. Working with a number of high profile clients and national organisations across corporate, private, public and charity sectors. Laura has extensive account experience.
Sarah Urban: Producer
Sarah brings over 12 years' experience of working within broadcast television; most recently for ITV. Whilst at ITV she was a member of staff in the Entertainment Department and worked on shows such as You've Been Framed, Countdown, University Challenge amongst others, gaining experience in a number of different roles. Prior to this Sarah worked in television drama productions gaining experience working on BAFTA award winning drama Housewife 49, Where the Heart Is and Mrs Radcliffe's.
James Richards: Scriptwriter
James has been writing professionally for thirty years. In that time, he has written for TV, radio, national and local newspapers and many corporate clients including National Power, the BBC and Microsoft. He has won two awards for screen writing including a BAFTA (best Scottish drama) and has sold a film to Hollywood. He is the co-author of a book on screenwriting and has been teaching creative writing for more than a decade in schools, colleges and universities. He is currently a tutor for the Open College of the arts and a visiting lecturer in screenwriting at the University of York.
Steve Lord: Camera Lighting
Steve has over 18 years broadcast experience in broadcast and corporate television with his work regularly appearing on the BBC and Channel 4. Steve also has a proven track record in filming TV adverts for companies such as ToysRus and Asda. Corporate work includes the following clients: Halifax, Lloyds, McCann, ADT, Morrisons and B&Q. Steve works for Digifish on a freelance basis and has worked with them on the following TV commercials: Richer Sounds and Gear4music. He has most recently worked on a series of films for the National Army Museum.
Matthew Clarke: Editor and Animator
Matthew studied at Suffolk College and graduated with a distinction in General Art and Design. He then worked in Post Production for Signals Media Arts and as a Video Content Producer in the music industry. Since joining the Digifish team Matthew has created and developed projects including animations and motion graphics for the TSI, NHS, IPCC, EA Sports, Ministry of Sound, The Script TV Advert 2014, Sky TV, Richer Sounds and Max Nutrition
